Take Jade, for instance. The stylist who came from Brooklyn 10<br />
years ago looks like a rock star and is considered one by her clients.<br />
Her background is in cosmetology, and she found her true passion<br />
in men’s grooming.<br />
Jade enjoys the eclectic mix of clients at Stark’s and is popular with<br />
clients of all ages. “This is an awesome shop that has a great vibe to it.<br />
I cut a lot of younger clients who want long hair and are nervous that<br />
someone will cut their hair too short.”<br />
Jade is adamant that she also does fade cuts, classic, and business<br />
cuts, and is very accommodating to all client’s preference in style or<br />
cut. “I know how to make sure the client gets the cut they want.”<br />
It’s easy to enjoy being at Stark’s, aside from the terrific artwork<br />
and talent of each barber. There is eclectic Bansky artwork on the<br />
exposed brick walls, five large flat screen TV’s, a comfy quartz bar<br />
area for doing work or trolling your iPhone. There’s also a permissive<br />
attitude that makes everyone feel comfortable and accepted.<br />
“Everyone can express themselves and get the grooming of their<br />
choice. We aim to please our clients,” adds Jason.<br />
Part of that equation is with the newest team member Ray. A former<br />
Barber instructor, Ray is passionate about being a barber and is<br />
smitten with Stark’s eclectic mix of clients and staff.<br />
They also have a collection of natural shave products for people<br />
with sensitive skin, as well as excellent trimmers.<br />
