of the Sexual Revolution of the 1960’s,
George (a New Jersey accountant)
and Doris (an Oakland housewife) –
two married people with six children
between them – meet at an inn in
Northern California in 1951 and have
an affair. They form an immediate and
profound attachment to each other, but
since neither wants to jeopardize their
marriages, they agree to meet only once
a year…a contract they dutifully (and
happily) fulfill for the next 25 years.

Ferocious Love is a spoken word-theatre
experience by Mo Beasley that puts a
whole new spin on the urban male coming
of age story circa the late 1980s. The issues
of class, dysfunctional families, and the
ferocity of a mother’s love figure greatly
into this journey for manhood in a post-
Civil Rights/Black Power America.

the rich artistic legacy of the American
musical icon and Empress of Soul, Nina
Simone. The Ladies of Simone, with
vocalists Sarah Gracel, Ja’Nia Harden,

an expressive, big-voiced vocalist that
combines jazz with elements of R&B,
Blues, and Gospel. This show take
listeners on a mesmerizing look at love
through classic jazz, standards, and The
Great American Songbook.

Broadway’s biggest hits – WEST SIDE
STORY and GYPSY – Stephen Sondheim
assumed the dual role of both lyricist and
composer for one award-winning musical

Academy award and a Pulitzer Prize, we
thought it was time that we pay our own
tribute to the most celebrated composer
of our time.

front man Mato Nanji (ma-toe non-gee)
