Hello
MAY!
In May we celebrate Mom! It’s very easy to make
Mom feel special in Delray. With so many wonderful
restaurants to choose from, satisfying any food or
craving she may have will be easy. There are also
amazing salons and spas to pamper her. Inside this issue
we have included special recipes that are sure to make
Mom feel loved. Check out Delray Under $50, and our
Mother’s Day pages for some suggestions on spoiling Mom!
This month we dine at Il Contadino, sampling traditional
Italian recipes and enjoying every last bite! Chef Michel
only uses the freshest ingredients and will customize any
entrée to your liking. A hidden gem in Pineapple Grove
with a wine list that will impress any Sommelier. Every dish
is a work of art - a feast for your eyes and your tummy!
Lieutenant Gary Ferreri from the Delray Beach Police
Department is our City Person this month. Feeling safe
at night is easy knowing that Lt. Ferreri is in charge as
the Night Time Watch Commander working the difficult
overnight hours from 5pm to 5am! But incredibly so, even
while working those hours, Lt. Ferreri still finds time to
be a mentor, bring ice cream trucks to neighborhoods, and
even dress up as Santa to bring joy to our community.
We end this month honoring our fallen Heroes.
Monday, May 30th is Memorial Day. Take a moment out
of celebrations, barbecues, and beach time to remember
the men and women that made the ultimate sacrifice. And
let’s also take a moment and pray for the brave people of
Ukraine, fighting fiercely every day to stay alive. Let us
never take for granted our freedom that many willingly
protected till their last breath.
Love, Yvette
Our flag does
not fly because
of the wind
moving it. It flies
with the last
breath of each
soldier who died
protecting it.
