Halls Filled With Childish Glee
Jls Newcomers Enter Lowell
Once mote Lowell's nugust halls echo
to the delightful putter of several hundred
tiny feet, as the current mass of new
freshmen cast forth by San Francisco's
Jrrnmmnr and junior high schools replaces
the dear, departed seniors.
Smaller and more fragile (a.t least
from a senior's exalted point of view), a
new clnss of frosh is once more cluturiiiff
up the iialls as only a new class can, and
the familiar putter of new students once
more fills the air.
"Is this the second floor V Oh gee, I
forgot my locker combination. Hey, is
there really a swimming pool on the
roof V" and so on, far into the day and
night.
It seems, nt the present writing, pretty
far-fetched, indeed, that some day these
small gamin will comprise the ruling clus."
nt Lowell.
Such is the case, however, as statistics,
or whatever one cares to use, will show;
so tread lightly, ere you sc|":ish yon midget
With Student Body Cards
Lowell's morale needs a little "facelifting!"
What bettor way to improve
Jewell spirit than to have Lowell one hundred
per cent in tha sale of student body
cards for the second consecutive term?
This would he a worthy accomplishment
and is certainly not an unraesonable goal.
The little card the you rec»ivc for your
fifty cents will more than repay your original
investment with the money saved at
games and other events. Your money
helps to pay for The Lowell, school dances,
athletic equipment, and other school activities
from which you benefit every day.
Most important of all, it makes you a member
of the best student body in San Francisco.
So everybody dig down deep for that
fifty cents and surrender it to your room
representative with a smile, proud in the
knowledge that you arc buying a share in
traditions that date back to Lowell's early
days, as well as in the many activities of
Lowell today.
