FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME, THE PUB LEADERS
SUMMIT IS TRAVELLING TO QUEENSLAND AND
BEING HELD AT ONE OF THE MOST REVERED
HOTELS IN AUSTRALIA – EATONS HILL HOTEL AND
ACCOMMODATION.

The conference and expo is a highly regarded
event for Australia’s leading pub operators and
senior managers, and is usually held in Sydney and
Melbourne. Now in its seventh year, the summit will be
coming to the Sunshine State and hosted in the halls
of The Comiskey Group’s award-winning venue from
24 to 25 July.
Established in 2016 and organised by Australian
Hotelier magazine, the Pub Leaders Summit shines
a light on the best practices and new trends in the
industry while delivering ideas and inspiration to help
publicans grow their business.
This year the expo is being held over two days instead
of one, with an optional half-day study tour of some
of Brisbane’s most successful pubs being added
to the itinerary. The tour has been put in place to
inspire and provide networking opportunities for those
participating in addition to giving visitors a look into
how some of Australia’s industry leading publicans are
running their venues.
In addition to the tour, panels, presentations and
conferences are also going to be centre stage and
directly influenced by the topics needing the most
attention in the industry, such current economic
conditions, gaming regulations, food and beverage,
staffing shortages and data and loyalty systems.
The event will feature many of the industry’s leading
speakers and influencers, from operators and
regulators to publicans, suppliers and brewers.
Some notable panellists and presenters include chief
experience officer of Australian Venue Co., Marianne
Mewett, interim managing director of ALH Hotels, Paul
Watson, managing director of Hastings People, Luke
Butler and QHA’s very own chief executive, Bernie
Hogan.
The summit is wrapped up with beers and a
networking session for an opportunity to catch up with
friends old and new in the industry.
