A CRAFTY BUNCH
FOR THE LOVE OF BEER
AS THE FIRST BREWERY TO HAVE OPENED ITS DOORS IN IPSWICH IN OVER 100 YEARS, 4 HEARTS
BREWING HAS A PASSION FOR CRAFTING BEERS THAT REPRESENT THE VERY BEST OF THEIR HOMETOWN.
QHA REVIEW | 46
The craft brewery is known for taking local ingredients
(honey, rosella and carrots to name a few) and using
them to put unique, modern spins on traditional brews.
So, it was no surprise to hear that 4 Hearts have
begun focusing on more adventurous and difficult
styles of beer since we caught up with them last year.
In fact, the brewery has been working on several
exciting things in the past couple of months, namely a
red XPA called Solar Eclipse, which has seen a wave
of positive feedback from customers and venues.
Hugo Hirst, assistant brewer and sales representative
at 4 Hearts, said regardless of the ups and downs
of the industry, the brewery has been doing great
with their new focus on tasty, unique and high-quality
seasonal brews.
“Being contained in a beautiful heritage listed building
means that, to the causal eye, nothing has changed
here, but once you look a little deeper you’ll start
to notice subtle changes and improvements to our
process.
