QHA AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE NEWS 2023 The 2023 QHA Awards for Excellence Gala Presentation Evening celebrated nearly 300 finalists across 45 award categories, showcasing the remarkable accomplishments of Queensland’s hotels. The evening was attended by more than 1,400 guests as we took a trip down memory lane celebrating the 30th year of the Awards for Excellence program. Tracy Hatch from the Wellshot Hotel in Ilfracombe was named Hotelier of the Year, thanks to her commitment to her local community and tireless efforts in supporting her local region. The Prince Consort Hotel in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley took the title of Hotel of the Year – Metropolitan Division, while The Rix Hotel in Charters Towers took out the Hotel of the Year award for the Regional Division. In the Accommodation Division, The Langham Gold Coast took out the top honours as Hotel of the Year – Accommodation. Thank you to our Platinum Partners, ALM, Aristocrat, Carlton & United Breweries, Hostplus, IGT, Keno, Lion and TAB for their continued support of the QHA Awards for Excellence program.
