be a secret enemy.
How many marriages have ended
because of an affair with a “best friend”?
How many lives have been ruined by
unexpected betrayals? The
uncomfortable answer is: A lot. Endlessly
running your mouth to everyone is stupid.
It doesn’t matter what the content is.
If you have a habit of speaking without
thinking, you’ll one day reveal sensitive
information to someone who shouldn’t
hear it. Imagine if James Bond didn’t have
the power to conceal his intentions. He’d
have been annihilated by Blofeld in
minutes.
If you never want to reveal all your
secrets, don’t let your tongue run wild
everytime you speak to people. If you do
this, it will be very hard for anyone to
conspire against you.
Never reveal your hand!
Sarki Abba
Nigerians Are
Brilliant
Meet Sarki Abba from Kano State,
Nigeria, the genius that was made to
rewrite WASCE after scoring 9 distinctions in
1984. Then, 16-year old, Abba was a student
of Science Secondary School, Dawakin Tofa,
Kano State who scored 9 distinctions (8 A1
and 1 A2) in his West African Senior
Certificate (WASCE) examination.
Examination authorities in Lagos didn’t
believe Abba made those excellent scores
without cheating. The authorities provided
a car that took Abba to Lagos in order to
retake the examination. Abba was made to
take the 9 subjects in a duration of 3 days,
under heavy supervision. After marking the
rescheduled examinations, he scored 9 A1
(the only ‘A2’ he had in English Language
before the retake became ‘A1’, leading to 9
A1). Faced with shock, the authorities
apologised and instituted the National Merit
Award. And, rightfully, Sarki Abba was the
first recipient of the award. In the 1989/90
school session, Sarki Abba graduated as
overall best medical student and overall
best graduating student at Ahmadu Bello
University, Zaria. He was just 21.
