It tells you how much money you’ve made (or lost) on an investment or project after accounting for its cost. Real estate investments usually have a good ROI but not all real estate investments have a high ROI. REALTOR’S AVENUE 1. Finding the right properties: The first step is to find the right property. This includes finding a property in a good or emerging location. Sometimes, it’s best to invest in an emerging location because these properties are usually undervalued and those who can invest in those areas early can earn a high ROI in the future. You can also buy deficient homes that require fixing up; you fix up the property and sell at a higher rate. 2. Start Early: Start as early as possible. It doesn’t have to be a big purchase. It can be a piece of land or a one-bedroom apartment. Start as early as possible to ensure you have time to learn the ropes about the sector. This would also ensure that your investments have more than enough time to mature in order to gain a high ROI. 4. Buy and Hold: It's common knowledge that real estate appreciates over time. The best way to have a high ROI is to buy and hold the property for some time. If you buy a property in an emerging location, hold the property till that location is more developed before you sell. The longer you hold the property, the higher your ROI. Wait until land in that particular area is becoming limited, infrastructure development projects are being planned, and major business hubs, tourist attractions, etc. are being developed in the area. These factors will ensure high appreciation of the value of the property In conclusion, real estate is a growth investment tool. The sooner you invest, the higher your investments will appreciate in the long run. 3. Develop the property: You can purchase a large 2-bedroom apartment and expand it to a 3-bedroom apartment as long as you do not have to destroy the house layout. Expanding the property automatically increases the price you can sell it, thereby increasing your ROI.
