ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE
an erect, tufted, and glabrous
grass specie with long and
tapered leaves. It can grow
between 10 centimetres and 1
metre in height.
Personally, I used to hate
this grass growing in our
compound or farm or garden.
I considered it an eyesore as it
grew between our vegetables
and crops. Apart from that,
it’s quick to reproduce due to
its numerous spikelets that
contain several seeds.
Weed as it may seem, paragis
is found to be antihelmintic
(good for treatment of
intestinal parasites), diuretic
(good for kidney disease)
diaphoretic, and a febrifuge.
Several studies have shown
that it contains some
important medicinal benefits
like:
• anti-inflammatory
• anti-bacterial
• anti-convulsant
• anti-diabetic
• anti-leishmanial
• anti-oxidant
• anti-plasmodial
• cytotoxic
• pancreatic lipase inhibitory;
etc.
China has earned billions of
dollars from its cultivation
due to it medicinal values. In
traditional medicine practice,
it is used to manage several
health problems.
It's an anti-inflammatory plant,
severally used for arthritis,
bone setting, skin problems
and joint pains as a result of
strain or sprain. It's also an
important plant for urinary
tract infection and renal
diseases because it is highly
diuretic in nature; it helps to
boost urination. Traditionally, it
is used for hyperglycemia due
to it anti-diabetic properties.
Paragis has been explored
for its suitability in managing
diabetes. It is believed to
help regulate blood glucose
levels by enhancing insulin
production and improving
insulin sensitivity which is key
for blood glucose treatment.
Chronic and serious health
problems like cancer and
auto-immune diseases can
also be well managed with
paragris or as an adjunct
treatment option.
This so because, paragris
contains powerful antioxidant
properties. Paragis
contains anti-oxidants that
help to protect the body
against oxidative stress.
These anti-oxidants may
help prevent cell damage
and reduce the risk of various
chronic diseases like cancer.
When looking for what to use
for treatment of bacterial
infections, you may consider
paragris as an option. It has
anti-microbial effects against
certain bacteria and fungi. It
could also be used to treat
infections, especially those
that affect the urinary tract as
well as wounds.
In conclusion, paragis is
also effective for feverish
conditions because it
also contains anti-pyretic
substances and much more.
There are some plants that
combine well with paragris for
treatment of viral infections,
prostate enlargement and
stroke management.
Nature is supreme. Science
will continue to study nature
because without nature, there
will be no science.
further information on the
use of paragis glass, kindly
article.
