Part 4<br />

In this section, we describe how we configured <strong>WebSphere</strong> Application Server<br />

V4 on Windows 2000 and z/OS to utilize the services of the <strong>CICS</strong> <strong>Transaction</strong><br />

<strong>Gateway</strong> in order to communicate with a <strong>CICS</strong> <strong>Transaction</strong> Server region.<br />

We describe both how to deploy a servlet-based Web application that uses the<br />

ECIRequest class provided in the <strong>CICS</strong> TG base classes, and how to deploy a<br />

J2EE based application that uses an integrated servlet/EJB design in conjunction<br />

with the <strong>CICS</strong> TG ECI resource adapter.<br />
