Change Password Allows a client application to change the password held by<br />

the <strong>CICS</strong> ESM for a given user ID.<br />

<strong>The</strong>re is no other interface available for the ESI, although both the EPI and ESI<br />

allow user IDs and passwords to be flowed within the actual requests. In this<br />

case the user ID and password will be either authenticated within <strong>CICS</strong> if using a<br />

distributed <strong>CICS</strong> <strong>Transaction</strong> <strong>Gateway</strong>, or within the <strong>CICS</strong> TG if using the <strong>CICS</strong><br />

TG for z/OS.
