<strong>The</strong> parameters that we used are as follows:<br />

► Server<br />

An arbitrary name for a particular <strong>CICS</strong> region (we used the value<br />

APPCPJA1) to distinguish this connection from our TCP62 and TCP/IP<br />

connections.<br />

► Description<br />

An arbitrary description for the <strong>CICS</strong> region.<br />

► Network Protocol<br />

<strong>The</strong> protocol for communication with the <strong>CICS</strong> region (in this case, SNA).<br />

► Partner LU name<br />

<strong>The</strong> LU name of the server as it is known to the SNA configuration (in our<br />

case, the fully qualified partner LU name of (1.6) US<strong>IBM</strong>SC.SCSCPJA1).<br />

► Local LU name<br />

<strong>The</strong> name of a local LU to be used when connecting to the server (in our<br />

case, the local LU name of (3) SC02009I).<br />

► Mode name<br />

<strong>The</strong> LU 6.2 mode name to be used when connecting to the server (in our<br />

case (7) APPCMODE).
