In order to flow a request to <strong>CICS</strong>, the server instance must have the <strong>CICS</strong> ECI<br />

resource adapter added and a connection factory defined. To do this, perform the<br />

following steps:<br />

1. From the Server perspective Server Configuration view, expand Server<br />

Configurations.<br />

2. Right-click <strong>WebSphere</strong> Administrative Domain and select Open.<br />

3. In the <strong>WebSphere</strong> Administrative Domain window that appears, click the J2C<br />

tab.<br />

4. In the J2C Resource Adapters section, click Add. <strong>The</strong> Create Resource<br />

Adapter window will appear (Figure C-11).<br />

5. In the Resource Adapter Name drop-down, select <strong>CICS</strong> ECI and click OK.<br />

6. In the J2C Connection Factories section, click Add. <strong>The</strong> Create Connection<br />

Factory window will appear (Figure C-12 on page 402).<br />
