Camcorder Options Before you start recording videos, use the camcorder options to configure the camcorder for best results. Camcorder options are represented by icons on the left side of the screen. While in Camcorder mode, touch the following icons to set camcorder options: Flash: Tap Off or On. 96 Self recording: Touch to switch to the front-facing camera lens and record a video of yourself. Recording mode: allows you to set the recording mode to: Normal, which is limited only by available space on the destination location, Limit for MMS, which is limited by size restrictions of your current email provider. Timer: Set a timer for how long to wait before recording a video. Options are: Off, 2 sec, 5 sec, and 10 sec. Exposure value: Set the brightness of the video. Settings Edit shortcuts: Allows you to assign new shortcuts to the camera menu by dragging an available application icon over and existing shortcut. Self-recording: Touch to switch to the front-facing camera lens and record a video of yourself. Flash: Tap Off or On. Recording mode: Select either Normal, Limit for MMS, or Limit for Email. Exposure value: Set the brightness of the video. Timer: Set a timer for how long to wait before recording a video. Options are: Off, 2 sec, 5 sec, and 10 sec. Effects: Apply an effect to videos. Options are: None, Negative, Grey-scale, or Sepia. Resolution: Set a size for the video. Options are: 1280x720 or 640x480. White balance: allows you to set this option to one of the following choices: Auto, Daylight, Cloudy, Incandescent, or Fluorescent.
Settings Outdoor visibility: Enables or disables the outdoor visibility feature to improve the display image outdoors. Guidelines: Activates or deactivates the on-screen guidelines used to position image content. Storage: Allows you to assign the storage location for the videos. Reset: Allows you to reset the camcorder settings. Camera / Camcorder Mode: allows you to take a photo in various modes. Once you change the mode, the corresponding indicator appears at the top left of the display. Slide the button up for Camera, or down for Camcorder. Camcorder button: shoots or stops video recording when tapped in Camcorder mode. Image viewer: allows you to access the Image viewer and the various viewing options for a selected picture. The last video you shot, will be displayed as a thumbnail in the Image viewer icon. Viewing Videos with the Image Viewer After recording a video, use the Image Viewer to play, share, or delete your video. 1. Tap Image Viewer to view the video. 2. Tap the screen to show or hide Image Viewer options. 3. Sweep across the screen to display the next or previous video. The current video is outlined in the thumbnails at the bottom of the screen. Tap a thumbnail to view the video it represents. 4. Select from any of the following options Share via: allows you to share a video using AllShare, Bluetooth, Email, Gmail, Messaging, Social Hub, Wi-Fi Direct, and YouTube. Delete: allows you to delete the current video. Go to Gallery: opens the current image within the Gallery viewer. Play: allows you to playback the current video file. Multimedia 97
