To set visibility:<br />
1. Verify your Bluetooth is active.<br />
2. From the Bluetooth settings page, tap Visible.<br />
Making your device visible allows other devices to pair and<br />
communicate.<br />
Note: Your device visibility is based on the time set within the Visible<br />
time-out field (2 Minutes, 5 Minutes, 1 Hour, or Never). This value<br />
appears as a countdown within this Visible time-out field.<br />
To scan for Bluetooth devices:<br />
1. Verify Bluetooth is active.<br />
2. From the Bluetooth settings page, tap Search for nearby<br />
devices to search for visible external Bluetooth-compatible<br />
devices such as headsets, devices, printers, and<br />
computers.<br />
To view files received via Bluetooth devices:<br />
1. Navigate to the Bluetooth settings page.<br />
2. Tap Show received files to display a list of files received<br />
from external sources via Bluetooth communication.<br />
3. Tap to return to the previous page.<br />
Pairing with a Bluetooth Device<br />
Search for a Bluetooth device and pair with it, to exchange<br />
information between your device and the target device.<br />
Tip: After pairing, your device and the target device recognize each other and<br />
exchange information without having to enter a passcode or PIN.<br />
1. From a Home screen, tap (Apps) ➔ (Settings)<br />
➔ Wireless and networks ➔ Bluetooth settings.<br />
2. Tap Bluetooth to turn on Bluetooth.<br />
3. Enable the target device’s discoverable or visible mode.<br />
4. Tap Search for nearby devices.<br />
5. From the list of scanned devices, touch the target device,<br />
then follow the prompts to complete the pairing:<br />
If the target device requires a PIN, enter a PIN for the target device<br />
and tap OK. When prompted, enter the PIN on the target device.<br />
If the device allows automatic or smart pairing, your device<br />
attempts to pair with the device automatically. Follow the prompts<br />
on your device and the target device to complete the pairing.
