Samsung Apps Notifications<br />

This setting is used to notify you whenever new applications are<br />

available within Samsung Apps.<br />

1. From a Home screen, tap (Apps) ➔ (Settings)<br />

➔ Applications ➔ Samsung Apps ➔ New application<br />

notification.<br />

2. Make a selection. Choose from Off, Wi-Fi only, or <strong>Mobile</strong><br />

data and Wi-Fi.<br />

Accounts and Sync<br />

Set up and manage accounts, including your Google and Backup<br />

Assistant accounts. Your device provides the ability to<br />

synchronize data from a variety of different sources or sites.<br />

These accounts can range from Google, a Corporate Microsoft<br />

Exchange Email Server, and other social sites such as Facebook,<br />

Twitter, and MySpace. Corporate and Google accounts provide<br />

the ability to synchronize Calendar events and Contacts.<br />

Background Data<br />

When enabled, all accounts can sync, send, and receive data at<br />

any time, in the background.<br />

Important!: Disabling background data can extend battery life and lower data<br />

use. Some applications may still use the background data<br />

connection, even if this setting is disabled.<br />

1. From a Home screen, tap<br />

➔ Accounts and sync.<br />

(Apps) ➔ (Settings)<br />

2. Tap Background data to enable or disable the setting. When<br />

enabled, a check mark appears in the check box.
