Datu Michael Ting Kuok Ngie was appointed <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> Board<br />
of CMS on 24 March 1999. A civil engineer by profession,<br />
Datu Michael served in <strong>the</strong> Public Works Department (PWD)<br />
for 32 years. His last appointment was as Direc<strong>to</strong>r of PWD<br />
prior <strong>to</strong> retiring in 1998. Datu Michael continued <strong>to</strong> serve<br />
as Technical Advisor <strong>to</strong> <strong>Sarawak</strong>’s State Planning Unit<br />
for a fur<strong>the</strong>r two years. Datu Michael holds a Bachelor of<br />
Engineering (Honours) degree and a Master of Engineering<br />
degree in Civil Engineering, both from <strong>the</strong> Technical<br />
University of Nova Scotia, Canada. Datu Michael is direc<strong>to</strong>r<br />
of a number of CMS Group subsidiaries as well as o<strong>the</strong>r<br />
private companies. Datu Michael has no family relationship<br />
with any direc<strong>to</strong>r and/or major shareholder of <strong>the</strong> Company.<br />
Datu Michael has attended all seven (7) meetings of <strong>the</strong><br />
Board of Direc<strong>to</strong>rs in <strong>the</strong> fi nancial year ended 31 December<br />

Kevin How Kow was appointed <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> Board of CMS on 12<br />
March 2004. Kevin is a Fellow of <strong>the</strong> Institute of Chartered<br />
Accountants in England & Wales and <strong>the</strong> Institute of<br />
Certifi ed Public Accountants of Singapore. He is a member<br />
of <strong>the</strong> Malaysian Institute of Accountants and <strong>the</strong> Malaysian<br />
Institute of Certifi ed Public Accountants. He was made a<br />
partner of Ernst & Young, Malaysia in 1984 and served as<br />
Partner-in-charge of its offi ces in Sabah and <strong>Sarawak</strong>. From<br />
1996 onwards, Kevin was Partner-in-charge of <strong>the</strong> fi rm’s<br />
practice in Sabah and Labuan until his retirement at <strong>the</strong> end<br />
of 2003. Kevin’s direc<strong>to</strong>rships in public companies include<br />
K&N Kenanga Holdings Berhad, Kenanga Investment Bank<br />
Berhad, <strong>Sarawak</strong> Cable Berhad, Sabah Development Bank<br />
Berhad and Saham Sabah Berhad. He is also a direc<strong>to</strong>r<br />
of CMS Opus Private Equity Sdn <strong>Bhd</strong> and o<strong>the</strong>r private<br />
limited companies. Kevin has no family relationship with<br />
any direc<strong>to</strong>r and/or major shareholder of <strong>the</strong> Company.<br />
