Statement of Directors’ Responsibility
The Directors are required by the Companies Act, 1965 (“the Act”) to prepare fi nancial statements for each fi nancial
year which gives a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the Group and the Company at the end of the fi nancial
year and their results and cash fl ows for the fi nancial year ended 31 December 2011.
As required by the Act and the Main Market Listing Requirements (“MMLR”) of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad
(“Bursa Securities”), the fi nancial statements have been prepared in accordance with the applicable Financial
Reporting Standards in Malaysia, the provisions of the Act and MMLR.
The Directors consider that in preparing the fi nancial statements for the year ended 31 December 2011 set out
on pages 74 to 168, the Group has used appropriate accounting policies, consistently applied and supported by
reasonable and prudent judgement and estimates.
The Directors have responsibility for ensuring that the Group and the Company keep accounting records which
disclose with reasonable accuracy the fi nancial position of the Group and the Company which enable them to
ensure that the fi nancial statements comply with the Act and MMLR.
The Directors have general responsibility for taking such steps as are reasonably open to them to safeguard the
assets of the Group and the Company to prevent and detect fraud and other irregularities.
This Statement is made in accordance with a resolution of the Board of Directors dated 3 April 2012.
