2003—Was a Florida State League All-Star for the second consecutive season…hit 12 home runs in just<br />

59 FSL contests…endured a couple of DL stints due to right knee inflammation…participated in the Arizona<br />

Fall League and hit .313 with three home runs and 11 RBI in 22 games with the Peoria Saguaros.<br />

2002—Was a Single-A Florida State League All-Star with Jupiter and ranked among the FSL leaders in<br />

slugging (t-3rd, .487) and on-base percentage (t-5th, .394)…blasted 17 home runs or four more than the<br />

total posted in his first two professional seasons.<br />

2001—With Kane County, earned Single-A Midwest League All-Star honors…stole a team-leading 24<br />

bags in just 26 attempts (92.3%)…successfully swiped 23 consecutive bags from April 30-August 22.<br />

2000—Began his professional career with a .400 on-base percentage thanks to 39 walks in 65 games<br />

with Utica of the short-season Single-A New York-Penn League.<br />

Joshua David Willingham was originally signed by Marlins scout Larry Keller…is married, Ginger,<br />

and has two sons, Rhett and Ryder…is a 1997 graduate of Mars Hill (AL) High…attended college at<br />

the University of North Alabama…played shortstop and was a two-time All-Gulf South Conference<br />

selection (1999, 2000) and a two-time American Baseball Coaches Association All American…was a<br />

career .424 hitter with 30 home runs and 70 stolen bases for the Lions…posted .535 and .715 career onbase<br />

and slugging percentages, respectively, during college days…led the Lions to the 1999 Division II<br />

College World Series and subsequently earned a spot on the Division II Baseball Championship Team<br />

All-Tournament Team…also in 1999, as a sophomore, was a First-Team Division II All-America…was<br />

a Second-Team All-America in 2000 as a junior…majored in biology.<br />
