A’S AMiGOS: The A’s Amigos<br />

program gives Hispanic children<br />

the opportunity to hear an A’s player<br />

speak about the importance of<br />

education, sportsmanship and hard<br />

work. In addition to a pre-game visit,<br />

each child receives a game ticket<br />

and an A’s cap. The A’s Amigos<br />

program is sponsored by XFINITY,<br />

Home of the Most Live Sports.<br />

LiTTLE A’S: Each year, over<br />

10,000 children from low to moderate-income<br />

families are treated<br />

to A’s games and receive a Bank<br />

of America water bottle and family<br />

passes to the <strong>Oakland</strong> Zoo. The Little A’s program is sponsored by Bank of America and supported by<br />

Clorox and the <strong>Oakland</strong> Zoo.<br />

HOLiDAY PARTY: The A’s Community Fund, Round Table Pizza and the <strong>Oakland</strong> Zoo host an annual<br />

holiday party for local school children. Current and former A’s players are present to sign autographs<br />

and distribute gifts to each child. The holiday festival features an animal presentation in the Wildlife<br />

Theater by the <strong>Oakland</strong> Zoo, lunch, face painters, arts and crafts, and a visit by Santa and the A’s mascot<br />

Stomper.<br />

HOLiDAY CARAVAn: During the<br />

offseason, current and former A’s<br />

players and the A’s mascot Stomper<br />

make stops around the Bay Area<br />

during the A’s Holiday Caravan. The<br />

caravan features visits to schools,<br />

hospitals, shelters, meet-and-greets<br />

and appearances at holiday parades<br />

and malls and other public places.<br />

TiCKET PURCHASE PRO-<br />

GRAM: <strong>Oakland</strong> A’s players, the<br />

A’s Community Fund and corporate<br />

sponsors purchase and donate<br />

thousands of game tickets to various<br />

charitable and non-profit groups<br />

each season.<br />

SiLEnT AUCTiOn: The A’s Community Fund holds silent auctions of various sports memorabilia<br />

behind section 120 on all Saturday and Sunday home dates. The A’s Community Fund donated a portion<br />

of the proceeds to designated charitable groups as a silent auction partner on selected dates throughout<br />

the season.<br />

FiELD REnOVATiOnS: The A’s Community Fund, in partnership with the Good Tidings Foundation,<br />

renovates a local baseball or softball field in order to provide local youth a state-of-the-art facility.<br />

Over the past few years, the A’s and the Good Tidings Foundation renovated the baseball and softball<br />

fields at Washington High School in Fremont, Rickey Henderson Baseball Field located at the Arroyo<br />

Viejo Recreation Center in East <strong>Oakland</strong> and Bambino Field at the Greenman Field Baseball Complex.<br />

A’S COMMUniTY FUnD GOLF CLASSiC: This annual tournament pairs participants with A’s<br />

players, former players, coaches and A’s staff for a day of golf at one of the Bay Area’s top courses.<br />

The event, sponsored by Chevron and State Roofing Systems of San Leandro, features breakfast, tee<br />

prizes, an awards dinner banquet and live and silent auctions of sports memorabilia and other prizes. All<br />

proceeds benefit the <strong>Oakland</strong> A’s Community Fund.<br />
