This part <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> empirical data focuses on <strong>the</strong> user needs towards <strong>the</strong> 12 th and <strong>the</strong> 13 th<br />
questions stated in <strong>the</strong> questionnaire (Appendix A.1). In <strong>the</strong> 12 th question, nine items<br />
are extracted, bearing in mind <strong>the</strong> CAAD objects and operations defined by<br />
(Szalapaj, 2001), in which students chose five most useful ones by giving credits to<br />
each <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>m (Figure 3.21). Moreover, Figure 3.22 represents <strong>the</strong> distribution <strong>of</strong><br />
rates <strong>of</strong> students in <strong>the</strong>se criterion stated. These analyses show that <strong>the</strong> top five items<br />
respectively are;<br />
• Transition from 2D into 3D<br />
• Photorealistic rendering<br />
• Easy transformation <strong>of</strong> 3D objects<br />
• A shorter processing time<br />
• Ease <strong>of</strong> learning<br />
