3.2.2.2 Interview<br />
An interview (Appendix A.2) was performed depending on <strong>the</strong> assumptions stated in<br />
order to ga<strong>the</strong>r information about;<br />
• Pr<strong>of</strong>essionals’ background information about CAAD s<strong>of</strong>tware packages used,<br />
• The s<strong>of</strong>tware packages used in <strong>interior</strong> architectural design process among<br />
pr<strong>of</strong>essionals,<br />
• The distribution <strong>of</strong> use <strong>of</strong> s<strong>of</strong>tware packages in conceptual, project<br />
development and presentation phases and <strong>the</strong> reasons to chose or not to chose<br />
<strong>the</strong>se packages in that specific phase,<br />
• The insufficiency <strong>of</strong> general purpose s<strong>of</strong>tware throughout <strong>interior</strong><br />
architectural design process and <strong>the</strong> reasons,<br />
• The necessity <strong>of</strong> domain specific s<strong>of</strong>tware during <strong>interior</strong> architectural design<br />
and <strong>the</strong> reasons,<br />
• The need for a new domain specific s<strong>of</strong>tware in <strong>interior</strong> architecture,<br />
• The user needs for <strong>the</strong> new domain specific s<strong>of</strong>tware.<br />
3.2.2.3 Sample Groups<br />
Sample groups <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> interview include 20 pr<strong>of</strong>essionals. These pr<strong>of</strong>essionals are<br />
randomly selected from different companies specialized in different branches <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>interior</strong> architecture, such as; kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and companies specialized<br />
especially in <strong>interior</strong> architectural design and decoration. Figure 3.25 represents, 16<br />
