Searching for Process Instances
Specifying an XPath expression enables you to select process instances based on
variable values and conditions applied to them. The conditions are expressed as XPath
2.0 expressions.
6. Click Search. The search results are displayed in the Process Instance Search
Results section, as shown in this example:
The search results are a list of process instances satisfying your search criteria with
the following column values:
■ Process ID — The unique ID of the process instance
■ Terminated — The date, if terminated, or live.
■ Correlation (if correlation set(s) are defined for the process) — Zero or more
columns. Each correlation set is potentially an array of properties. The column
name is the correlation set name and the value is a comma separated list of
property values. For example:
Property1=value,Property2=value
Note The correlation column is dynamic, and is only shown when a process has
correlation values.
7. To terminate a process instance, select the instance in the Process Instance Results
section and click Terminate.
8. To view the audit trail of a process instance, select the instance in the Process
Instance Results section and click Audit Trail. (See “Viewing Audit Trails” on
page 255.)
9. Close the Process Instance Search window to return to the SMC.
