Chapter 10: Managing BPEL Services
BPEL Profiling
You can view the activities of a BPEL process in the BPEL Profile dialog box under the
Manage tab in the SMC. This information represents aggregate performance information
of all process instances recorded for a particular process in the service. Clearing the
history (see “Clearing Process History” on page 250) resets the profiling information.
◆ To view detailed activities of a BPEL process:
❖ In the Manage tab of the SMC, select a BPEL process then click BPEL Profile. The
BPEL Profile dialog box opens, as shown in this example:
The BPEL Profile dialog box lists the activities for a process by ID, and contains the
following information:
■ Activity XML:ID
■ Activity Description, including the name attribute specified in the BPEL process,
if any
■ Times Completed: Minimum, average, and maximum [ms]
■ Individual time: Minimum, average, and maximum [ms]
■ Total time: Minimum, average, and maximum [ms]
