Chapter 2: <strong>ESB</strong> Containers<br />

◆ To add an activation daemon to a management container:<br />

1. In the <strong>Sonic</strong> <strong>Management</strong> Console’s Configure tab, right-click the folder where you<br />

want to create the new configurations. For this example, choose Containers.<br />

2. Choose New > <strong>Configuration</strong> > Shortcut to Container. For this example, name the<br />

container AD_for_Services_on_myHost. Adjust the connection URL <strong>and</strong> the<br />

username <strong>and</strong> password for management communications in the domain.<br />

3. Right-click on the container you created, <strong>and</strong> select Add Component. In the New<br />

Container Component dialog box’s General tab specify:<br />

Property Description<br />

Name The name of the component you want to add to the container.<br />

For this example, enter AD_for_Services.<br />

Component Click ... to open the Choose Component dialog box. For this example,<br />

choose /Containers/AD_for_Services.<br />

Auto Start Specifies whether to automatically start the component when the hosting<br />

container starts. For this example, check Auto Start.<br />

Tracing Mask Enter the tracing mask integer for this component.<br />

For this example, the New Container Component dialog box should look like this:<br />

4. Click OK to add the component to the container.<br />
