Logging <strong>and</strong> Tracing<br />

Logging <strong>and</strong> Tracing<br />

You can turn debug tracing on <strong>and</strong> off for <strong>ESB</strong> Containers <strong>and</strong> specify logging categories<br />

to send messages to the container’s message log. The following procedures describe how<br />

to specify logging <strong>and</strong> tracing <strong>and</strong> how to make the settings permanent.<br />

For more information on logging <strong>and</strong> tracing, see the “Managing Containers <strong>and</strong><br />

Collections” chapter in the <strong>Progress</strong> <strong>Sonic</strong>MQ <strong>Configuration</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Management</strong> <strong>Guide</strong>.<br />

◆ To specify logging <strong>and</strong> tracing for an <strong>ESB</strong> Container:<br />

1. In the <strong>Sonic</strong> <strong>Management</strong> Console, select the Manage tab <strong>and</strong> select the management<br />

container that hosts the <strong>ESB</strong> Container.<br />

2. Right-click on the <strong>ESB</strong> Container <strong>and</strong> select Properties.<br />

3. The identity <strong>and</strong> status of the <strong>ESB</strong> Container is displayed:<br />
