73. E^ verdad fue,tanto Ip que se le agravaron los ac- ' ci<strong>de</strong>nies en estos días , que los Médicos llegaron á. <strong>de</strong>sconfiar <strong>de</strong> su vida. Buen testimonio <strong>de</strong> esta verdad fue lo acaecidO' en la festividad <strong>de</strong> los Dolores <strong>de</strong> María SSma. La. me^'oria^ que se advirtió en D. Antonio, hizo concebir á íos Médicos casi algüna'confianza <strong>de</strong> su vida. Mas, apenas entraron las vísperas <strong>de</strong>/Maria SSma., le sobrevinieron tales angustias , "y" tal opresión en el corazón, que todos le juzgaron ya por .muerto. Su hermano el Macstre-Escueias se salid <strong>de</strong>l quarto , sin tener valor para ver quanto pa<strong>de</strong>cía, D. Antonio. Asi pasó todo el dia <strong>de</strong> la Virgen dé W Dolores, pa<strong>de</strong>ciendo sobre toda pon<strong>de</strong>ración. Entró al siguienre dia el mismo hermano , y le preguntó : Como te ha puesto la Virgen <strong>de</strong> los Dolores en su dia ? Pídale V. a Dios ( respondió ) me dé. paciencia , y valor^ que la necesito. Aora conosco ( aiíadió ) 7o mucho que pá^ }> díció la Virgen j viendo pa<strong>de</strong>cer a sú hifo'i'por loque yo pa<strong>de</strong>zco y viéndola penar. Veinte años ha que hice votv <strong>de</strong> rezar iodos los di as arrodillado , y fn Crnz, siete padres ntrqs. y, siete Ave Mari as , en.memoria <strong>de</strong> lo mucho] que. paiecip la. Virgen , viendo' penar, a, su .b'iío,. pidiéndola me diese a sentir algo <strong>de</strong> sus penas ; y en verdad que se ha, portado. La soliciriid conque suspírava por el ultimo ÍÍH , y cl estado á que le rediijerqn sus acce<strong>de</strong>ntes, le estimularon;,á la petición <strong>de</strong> los Sfos. Sátra'méntos <strong>de</strong> Éucharistla ,. y Extrcma-Úncioh.
