14. Possession, distribution, or use of knives, firearms, ammunition, explosives, bladed instruments, air
guns, chemical-dispensing devices, fireworks, replica firearms or bombs, electronic stunning devices,
and other dangerous items;
15. Discharging a fire extinguisher, except in an emergency;
16. Cheating or copying the work of another or allowing another to cheat or copy;
17. Plagiarism;
18. Violation of the Honor Code;
19. Failing to provide appropriate or relevant information to school administrators;
20. Excessive absences, up to and including truancy;
21. Throwing objects that can cause bodily injury or property damage;
22. Using profanity, vulgar language or obscene gestures;
23. Fighting;
24. Violating the inappropriate conduct or harassment policy, including, but not limited to repeated
teasing, taunting, threatening, hitting, stealing, intentional exclusion, and rumors that create an
ongoing pattern of harassment and abuse;
25. Engaging in bullying;
26. Stealing, theft, or robbery;
27. Damaging or vandalizing school property or property belonging to others;
28. Name calling, ethnic or racial slurs, or derogatory statements that school officials reasonably
anticipate will disrupt the school program or incite violence;
29. Inappropriate or illegal use of the school's electronic communication systems, including the Internet,
or abuse of the technology use policy;
30. Engaging in conduct that involves accessing a computer, computer network, or computer system
owned and operated on behalf of YES Prep Public Schools and knowingly damages or deletes school
district property or information or commits a breach of any other school computer, computer
network or computer system;
31. Violating local, state or federal laws;
32. Continuous or repeated behavior that disrupts the school environment or educational process;
33. Inappropriate public display of affection, including, but not limited to, kissing, handholding, or other
inappropriate displays of affection;
34. Engaging in sexual acts;
35. Making a terroristic threat, false alarm, or report including but not limited to bomb threats;
36. Possessing, selling, delivering, distributing, using, or being under the influence of an alcoholic
beverage;
37. Possessing, using, being under the influence, distributing, attempting to distribute, buying, or
attempting to buy illegal drugs;
38. Using, in a manner inconsistent with the manufacturer's instructions, or being under the influence of
glue or aerosol paint;
39. Behaving in a manner that contains the elements of indecent exposure as defined by the Texas Penal
Code;
40. Behaving in a manner that contains the elements of the offense of public lewdness as defined by the
Texas Penal Code;
41. Retaliating against a school employee or other person;
42. Behaving in such a manner that the continued presence of the student in the classroom threatens
the safety, interests and rights of other students or teachers, or will be detrimental to the
educational process;
43. Excessive incidents of gum chewing;
