FOR PARENTS WEBSITE
Every YES School maintains a website for its families where information is disseminated in addition to sending home the
information with your child. Information such as summer readings, staff contact information and bus routes are posted.
A good rule of thumb is to check this site on weekly basis. Please visit http://yesprep.org/Campus-Brays-
Oaks/topic/campus_home/ and click on the “For Parents” tab.
COMMUNICATION IN CASE OF EMERGENCY
All families are enrolled in the YES Prep Alert-find system. This is messaging systems that will text, call, and e-mail you
until you have indicated that you have received the message. This system is used for emergency purposes only. For
example, if Brays Oaks has early closure or late arrival due to weather, the information will be posted on the YES Prep
website, on local news sources such as KPRC, and you will be notified through this system as well. For this reason, it is
crucial that you update your contact information with the school every time that it changes. On occasion this system
will be used to notify you of important, non-emergency announcements.
GUEST(S) ON CAMPUS
A student may bring a guest on campus only if: (1) a YES Prep student has presented the school administrator a written
request 24 hours prior to the event, and (2) permission has been granted by the school administrator. If a student has
not accomplished the above, the guest will not be allowed. YES Prep Public Schools may refuse a guest at any time or for
any reason.
LIBRARY POLICY
The school library is an integral part of our school literacy program. We need your help ensuring our students have
access to high interest reading material. Students are expected to help maintain our book collection. Students should
care for books by keeping them clean, in good condition, and returning them by the due date.
If books are damaged or lost, library privileges will be suspended until further notified by the librarian or until the book
is returned. Late fees will be assessed for overdue books as a mark or demerit, per week that the book is late.
