SUMMARY:<br />

Introduction: In malaria endemic areas, the susceptibility of malaria increases<br />

during the pregnancy. In general, this risk decreases with the number of<br />

pregnancies. Our study showed the relationship between malaria and age of patient,<br />

seasons, ecology and outcomes relating to malaria and pregnancy association<br />

(maternal and fetal morbidity). Our study concern malaria during pregnancy and<br />

postpartum in the reference health center of “commune V”.<br />

Methods: We collected clinical, biological, socio-economic and obstetrical<br />

parameters from the records of hospitalization.<br />

Results: Among the 7010 hospitalizations, 5.03% (353/7010) of women have<br />

malaria infection. Most of our study population had a range age between 19 to 35<br />

years old. 80% of cases were low school level of education. The majority (75.5%)<br />

of our study population are from peri-urban areas. The prevalence of the infection<br />

was higher in rainy season (55.0%) than dry season (45.0%). The malaria infection
