DESTINATIONS Situé dans la province de Diégo- Suarez dans le nord malgache (région DIANA), ce circuit permet de découvrir la mangrove du littoral ouest de Madagascar. Cette mangrove joue un rôle essentiel dans la protection contre l’érosion de la terre et sert de pouponnière à de nombreuses espèces marines. Ancien comptoir colonial, le village d’Antsahampano et son port sont nichés au cœur d’une immense mangrove. Selon les marées, l’exploration des dédales de palétuviers se fait en pirogue, complétée par une visite à pied de ces arbres, à la fois terrestres et aquatiques. Comptez 8 heures pour découvrir le lieu. Le transfert se fait au bout de la piste qui traverse les plantations du fleuve Sambirano pour rejoindre la mer. Ancien comptoir colonial, le village d’Antsahampano et son port sont nichés au cœur d’une immense mangrove. Au cours de cette randonnée, il vous sera proposé de participer à une séance de reboisement de palétuvier. Possibilité de poursuivre la découverte par les plantations de cacao, de café, de vanille et de plantes à parfum. Le déjeuner peut être pris sur place, préparé avec les produits de la pêche traditionnelle par les femmes de l’Association Tsy Kivy. Au menu, plats malgaches (crabe sauce, poisson frit avec du riz) et fruits en dessert. Les femmes présentent également des produits de l’artisanat et de l’agriculture de la région, et quelques chants et danses traditionnelles animeront votre visite. Le retour se fera ensuite au crépuscule dans les effluves des plantes à parfums. This mangrove plays a vital role in protecting the land against erosion and at the same time serves as a nursery for many marine species. A former colonial trading post, the village of Antsahampano and its port are embedded in the heart of a huge mangrove forest. According to the tides, an exploration of the mangrove mazes is done by canoe, completed by a walking tour between these trees, both terrestrial and aquatic. Plan with 8 hours to discover the place. The starting-point will be at the end of the track that crosses the plantations of the Sambirano river to reach the sea. During this hike, you will be offered to participate in a mangrove reforestation session. Possibility of continuing to discover cocoa plantations, coffee, vanilla and perfume plants. Lunch can be taken at site, expect traditional fishing products prepared by the women of the Tsy Kivy Association. Their menu consists of Malagasy dishes (crab sauce, fried fish with rice) and fruits for dessert. The women also present local handicrafts and agriculture products, while listening to their traditional songs and dances will enliven your visit. The return will be at dusk accompanied by the fragrance of fragrant plants.
