La région Alaotra Mangoro est connue pour ses
précipitations considérables estivales entre
novembre et avril suivies de petites pluies fines
pendant la saison pourtant dite « sèche ».
La meilleure période pour visiter cette chute est
entre juillet et novembre.
The Alaotra Mangoro region is known for
considerable summer rainfalls between the time
of November to April followed by small fine rains
during the so-called "dry" season.

Comment s’y rendre? / How to get there?
Ce site se situe à 75km d’Antananarivo, en
prenant la Route Nationale N°2 vers Toamasina
et à 8km de la route principale, accès par la
commune d’Anjiro. Une randonnée pédestre
d’une trentaine de minutes est à prévoir.
This site is located 75km from Antananarivo,
take the National Road No. 2 to Toamasina, from
where, 8 km off the main road, the town of Anjiro
is located. Expect a hike of about thirty minutes.

Une virée à Andasibe est envisageable, à 28km
de Moramanga. Réservez vos chambres chez
Mantadia Lodge ; l’hôtel est à 100m d’altitude
et jouit d’une vue panoramique avec terrasse
privée. Si vous restez en ville, optez pour
Hazavana Hôtel ou Bezanozano Hôtel.
A trip to Andasibe is possible, 28km from Moramanga.
Book your rooms at Mantadia Lodge; the hotel is 100
m above sea level and enjoys a panoramic view from
a private terrace. If you stay in town, go for Hazavana
Hotel or Bezanozano Hotel.
Où manger? / Where to eat?
Anjiro est connu pour sa production de manioc, vous
pouvez en déguster : magahazo tetika (manioc bouilli)
ou Batabata (en grands morceaux). Les membres
d’une association peuvent préparer à manger
aux visiteurs, mais un pique-nique est également
envisageable ; sinon poursuivez une trentaine de
kilomètres supplémentaires pour rejoindre le chef-lieu
de district et essayez les menus gastronomiques du
Restaurant « Au Coq d’Or » ou bien les propositions du
Restaurant « La Sirène Dorée ».
Anjiro is known for its cassava production, you can enjoy:
magahazo tetika (boiled cassava) or Batabata (in large
pieces). Members of an association can prepare food for
visitors, but a picnic is also possible; If not, continue for
about 30 kilometers to reach the district capital and try
the gastronomic menus of the "Au Coq d'Or" restaurant or
the offers of the "La Sirène Dorée" restaurant.

Au-delà de la chute d'Andriamamovoka, vous pouvez
aussi visiter non loin de là les tombeaux d'Andranomena,
la boucle ferroviaire d'Anjiro et le lac Rafaravavy.
Beyond the Andriamamovoka waterfall, you can also
visit the Andranomena Tombs, the Anjiro Railway
Loop and Rafaravavy Lake.
