The font to be typed – TIMES NEW ROMAN size 12, on A4 paper(210 × 297 mm), single spaced, justified. Margins: top – 2 cm, bottom – 2 cm,right – 1.5 cm, left – 3 cm. Article should be submitted in electronic carrier.In bold there are written the title of the paper in all languages, headings and allmain structural elements (introduction, object, methods and conditions, results,discussion, conclusions, acknowledgements, references, abstract). In Italic thereare written Latin names of species, genera, diseases, pests micro-organisms andother biological objects. Names of plant cultivars should be placed within singlequotation marks (for example, ‘Auksis’).The quoted reference in the text is indicated in round brackets (author’s surname,year).TablesInformation given in figures or other illustrations, should not be repeated intables.Text in tables is written in Lithuanian and English languages. If Lithuanianand English texts are in one line they are separated by /. Do not use vertical andhorizontal lines to separate parts of the text. A horizontal line separates only headingsof columns and the end of the table. Orientation in a page only vertical(Portrait).Trial variants in tables should not be numbered or submitted in complicated92
abbreviations. Tables should be self explanatory, and if there are abbreviations,they should be understandable. The used abbreviation should be explained in thedescription of f<strong>ir</strong>st table (figure).Statistical data, figures, numeralsIt is des<strong>ir</strong>able to describe in detail the applied research methods and indicatethe<strong>ir</strong> original references. The information on the scheme (design) of field,vegetative and other trials and motivation of the<strong>ir</strong> choice is very important. Datapresented in tables and figures must be statistically processed. Abbreviationsof parameters should be explained if they do not correspond to the internationalstandard abbreviations (ISO).FiguresAll illustrations – drawings, graphs, diagrams, photographs, pictures, etc. areconsidered as figures. The text in them is written in Lithuanian and English.Figures must be drafted in black colour in Microsoft Office 2000, 2003, XP,VISTA package, EXCEL electronic table with conformed programs and initialinformation. Editorial Board has the right to change the<strong>ir</strong> format according to thedesign of the article or the whole publication.Letters and symbols in figures should be not smaller than size 10 TIMESNEW ROMAN. Block parts of figures should be numbered consecutively byletters a, b, c, etc.ReferencesInto references it may be included scientific publications.Titles of foreign journals, volumes of conference articles, etc., are not abbreviated.The reference list should be arranged in alphabetical order.Examples of quotation:Book of one author:1.
