The CCR Group does not consolidate this indicator, in general terms.
The AutoBAn, NovaDutra, Ponte, RodoNorte, Via Lagos, and ViaOeste
concessionaires have part of their highway system located in the vicinity (up to
10 km) of Environmental Protection Areas (EPAs) or conservation units. The areas
are as follows:
• AutoBAn – Serra do Japi EPA (São Paulo cities of Cajamar, Jundiaí, and
Cabreúva) and Jaraguá State Park (west side of the city of São Paulo)
• NovaDutra – Itatiaia National Park (cities of Itatiaia and Rezende, RJ)
• Ponte – Guanabara Bay (cities of Rio de Janeiro and Niterói, RJ)
• RodoNorte – Vila Velha Park (city of Ponta Grossa, PR)
• ViaLagos – Sapiatiba EPA (cities of Iguaba and São Pedro da Aldeia, RJ)
• ViaOeste – Iperó National Forest (city of Iperó, SP, Várzea do Rio Tietê EPA
Vargem Grande, São Roque, Mairinque, and Alumínio, SP), and Morro Grande
forest reserve (cities of Cotia and Vargem Grande, SP).
The impacts caused by the activities carried out by the concessionaires of the
CCR Group are generally of a medium (in the case of new construction) or short
(improvements) duration. As a means of offsetting and/or alleviating any impacts
that are considered irreversible, the companies adopt methods in compliance
with the legislation and environmental agencies.
Environment (Page 114)
The CCR Group does not monitor other types of significant indirect emissions of
greenhouse gases (GHG), due to the nature of its activities (providing services in the
highway and metro transportation sector).
