Hortas comunitárias – A ViaOeste é parceira
das Secretarias de Meio Ambiente e de Desenvolvimento,
Trabalho e Inclusão de Osasco
no projeto Agricultura Urbana. A atividade
oferece cursos de horticultura para o cultivo
de hortas comunitárias em áreas ociosas do
município da Grande São Paulo. Por meio de
técnicas de produção de alimentos naturais, os
alunos aprendem a manter uma horta sadia,
ao mesmo tempo em que têm a oportunidade
de se conscientizar sobre a importância da
preservação de recursos naturais e do consumo
de alimentos saudáveis.
Other highlights of 2007
Community vegetable gardens – ViaOeste
has partnered with the Departments of the
Environment and of Development, Labor and
Inclusion, of the city of Osasco in the Urban
Agriculture project. The activity offers gardening
classes for community vegetable gardens in
unused areas of the municipality located in the
Greater São Paulo region. Through techniques
for producing natural foods, students learn
how to keep up a healthy garden, while at the
same time having an opportunity to become
aware of the importance of preserving natural
resources and of healthy foods.
