O Fígado recebe aproximadamente 25% do débito sanguíneo cardíaco, e realiza numerosas funções vitais, entre estas algumas estão ligadas diretamente as células hematológicas: síntese de proteínas imunológicas e das lípidas, armazenamento de Ferro e de diversas Proteínas (28). - Rim é o principal produtor do hormônio Eritropoietina que atua na medula óssea, controlando a produção dos precursores das células que irão gerar as Hemácias ou seja a Eritropoiese. A Eritropoietina também desempenha outras ações tais como a resposta do cérebro à lesão neuronal, estando também envolvida no processo de cicatrização de feridas (26, 53, 66). - Tireóide produz hormônios vitais – T3 e T4 – que lançados na circulação sanguínea, regulam o metabolismo em todas as células do corpo, controlando a intensidade que as células terão para transformar oxigênio, glicose e calorias em energia. O aumento da produção de T3 e T4 acelera o metabolismo, a diminuição de T3 e T4 o metabolismo fica mais lento. - Timo, a principal função desta glândula é a transformação dos Linfócitos em Linfócitos T, que é um leucócito essencial nas atividades das defesas imunológicas. - Aparelho Circulatório (coração, artérias, veias, arteríolas e vênulas) é através deste sistema que existe a circulação continua do sangue, sendo transportado para todo o organismo. Os processos vitais da espécie humana exigem constantes suprimentos dos alimentos que estão no sangue (oxigênio, agua, proteínas, açucares, lípidas) e eliminações regulares dos resíduos através da pele, intestino e urina (suores, fezes, urinas). - Baço, a parte denominada Polpa Vermelha controla as hemácias, “identificando” aquelas que não funcionam adequadamente, destruindo as que são anormais, “velhas demais” ou que estão lesadas. A diminuição de hemácias não adequadas é um estímulo para que surja a produção de novas hemácias. No Baço também existem depósitos de Leucócitos e Plaquetas. O Baço também tem importante função imunológica na produção de anticorpos e proliferação de Linfócitos ativados, protegendo contra infecções. AUTORA: MARIA DE LOURDES PIRES NASCIMENTO, MD Conclusões sobre as Micropartículas Em relação as micropartículas (MPs), inicialmente pensava-se que eram produtos que existiam em sangues estocados para as transfusões sanguíneas, por este motivo diversos trabalhos referiam que a presença de MPs eram encontradas em pessoas que tinham sido transfundidas. Posteriormente passaram a ser observadas MPs em condições patológicas de casos que não tinham tido transfusões sanguíneas mas que tinham processos trombóticos e inflamatórios. Entretanto algumas observações vem sugerindo que o aumento de MPs tipo P-MPs derivadas de anormais, “velhas demais” ou que estão lesadas. A diminuição de hemácias não adequadas é um estímulo para que surja a produção de novas hemácias. No Baço também existem depósitos de Leucócitos e Plaquetas.
