She dominated all the days of racing and
had her name engraved on the Eng. Barros
Pereira Trophy, and she also emerged
as the top female sailor. Manuel Sencio
(Associação Naval de Lisboa) secured the
second position, while André Caires (Centro
de Treino de Mar) claimed the third
spot on the podium. Among the younger
sailors, Guilherme Costa (Clube Naval
de Cascais) took the victory in the U12
category and finished 11th overall, António
Moreira (Clube de Vela Atlântico) came in
second in the U12 category (29th overall),
followed by Artur Bento (Clube de Vela
do Barreiro, 32nd overall) in third. Other
sailors from CNCascais had commendable
performances as well, with Bernardo Neto
finishing in 4th place, Diogo Reis in 12th,
Guilherme Ryder in 13th, Vasco Empis in
34th, Martim Soares Lopes in 35th place,
Duarte Champalimaud in 37th, José Leiria
Pinto in 40th, Vasco Neto in42nd, Graça
Empis in 47th, Felix de Groot in 57th, and
Maria Menezes e Castro in 67th.
Moving on to the ILCA4 class, Jannis Tomáz
(Clube de Vela de Lagos) secured the
first position overall and also among the
U16 category. The remaining spots on the
podium were occupied by representatives
from CNC: Kuzey Karis and Carlijn Kam
(first among female sailors), in that order.
Also performing well on their home turf
were Francisco Taborda (7th), Manuel Matos
de Pinho (8th), Mafalda Barros Teixeira
(9th), Joana Madeira (11th), João Ferreira
(23rd), and Maria Figueiredo (30th).
In the ILCA6 class, Clube Naval de Cascais
demonstrated absolute dominance, with
João Pontes emerging as the winner after
winning all the races. He was followed by
Max de Groot and Boudie Van Dishoeck.
Sofia Trovão (Clube de Vela do Barreiro,
16th overall) was the top female sailor. Also
representing CNC, Francisco Silva Pereira
finished 6th, Elcis Kam finished 12th, and
Sebastião Castanheira finished 21st.
In the 420 class, there was suspense until
the very end, with the victory being decided
in the last race. Francisco Uva Sancho
and José Vozone from Clube Naval de
Cascais emerged victorious, surpassing
all competition and also claiming the top
spot among the U19 category. They were
followed closely by Teresa Quartim and
Rita Borges (Associação Naval de Lisboa),
