Two anonymous foundations, whom we thank, provideda replacement for the old minibus, and in it we travelled 17,640 kms,Field collectors were Shana Tarter, this year's Fellow of the .Institute forAegean Prehistory, and Robert Pohl. Laboratory work was condııcted,under the supervision of Carol Griggs, by James Crozier, Esra Köseataç,Susan Kuniholm, Nancy Lin, Miles McCredie, Joan Ramage, and ShanaTarter. In a conservative accounting change from previous years, we havestopped counting lumps. A bag filled with 21 pieces of charcoal counts asonlyone sample, although after measurement we may decide that severaltrees are represented. The complete list is presented at the end of thisreport. Since discussion of all 48 sites would wear through all but the mostfaithful reader's patience, selected comments follow on same of the. moresignificaııt material worked on over the pastl2 months.Cedars & Junipers - From The Forests To The Dashur Boat And TheBent PyramidSections of Cedrus libani and Juniperus collected in 1974, 1988, and1989 from Çığlıkara Forest above Elmalı, west of Antalya in Lycia, form619 and 629 year chronologies that extend respectively from 1370 and 1360to 1989. Carol Griggs has found that they crossdate not only with each otherbut with cedars from the forest of Feke, northeast of Adana, approximatelyequidistant from both Elmalı and northern Lebanon, and with cedars collectedat Bcharre in north Lebanon in 1965 by Prof. Bryant Barınister of(*) Prof. Peter Ian KUNIHOLM.
