Dear readers,
dear professional public,
there are two main important topics resonant between people in the
whole world today – the oncoming Christmas and the fi nancial
crisis with various impacts on all. For the most of people a typical
consequence of this crisis consists in a dilemma, which
Christmas presents they are able to buy and at the same time,
how to save money in so doing. This is a typical point
of view of private persons. However, in the economic
life of companies from all branches, the situation is
much more complicated.
We are also impacted due to the crisis, because
we started a project about the automotive industry,
which was endangered, as the fi rst industrial
branch, by the negative consequences of
the “broken down” economical situation. But
every crisis has also some positive infl uences
and this idea is also our point of view. Mr.
Jozef Uhrík, President of the “Automotive
Industry Association of the Slovak Republic”,
said in an interview, that the East and
Central Europe represents a very important
integrated part in the framework of
the whole European automotive industry
and its importance is evident also in the
future with regard to the European ability
to compete with other worldwide
automotive producers successfully. Mr.
Uhrík emphasizes a fact that the future
consists in creation of research-development-production
plants, i.e. there is
a good starting point of a new process,
which is discussed already for a long
time. This can be a positive sign. Other
managers are also tuned optimistic. One
of them established a new company only
few months ago (you can read about it in
this issue) and his opinions were interesting
for me. He said that his company profi ts now
from the present worldwide situation, because
it offers services for saving of costs, for optimisation
and they are looking for new solutions. It
seems to be a perspective way out for the future.
The “ai magazine”, the fi rst magazine about the
Slovak automotive industry, is now one year old. Its
fi rst four issues were evaluated and accepted positively
from you, from our readers. This is considerable stimulation
and herewith an obligation for us.
Dear friends, in the name of both collective teams of the “LE-
ADER press” editorship and the “ai magazine”, I would like
to express many thanks for your faith and cooperation. We would
like to continue in the given direction also in the future. The fi rst
new-year’s issue of the “ai magazine” will be published on the March
next year.
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a successful new year 2009!
EDITORIAL
Ani my nemáme zo vzniknutej situácie radosť, veď sme začali robiť
silnou súčasťou európskeho automobilového priemyslu, bez ktorej by stratil
konkurencieschopnosť, a bude ňou naďalej.
a doterajšiu spoluprácu. Budeme sa snažiť pokračovať v nastúpenej
línii aj naďalej. Prvé budúcoročné číslo ai magazine vyjde v marci.
Želáme vám šťastné Vianoce a úspešný nový rok 2009!
