Master's thesis aims to describe the playfulness of kindergarten children during the
game and its links to parents' assessments of their child's playfulness. The study is
based on Carolyn Porter´s and Anita C. Bundy´s (2001) methodology, that was
conducted in two parts, the first of which included the observation of the child within
30 minutes of indoor and outdoor play, and the second was to question the parents
about their child's potential and desired behaviors within the game. The study was
carried out in one municipal kindergarten. The sample (n = 8) was was formed of
different age groups (3-4, 4-5, 5-6 and 6-7 years of age), two children in each group.
