Our end-of-term party
Hi, I’m Ivonne, and I’m in Form 7g at LLG. I’ll tell you something about our end-of-term
party. We had this party in the evening of July 30th, 2009.
We worked hard for the party, so it was really very, very good, a great success. We had a full
program. Here it is:
First we played a theatre play which was called “Robin Hood”. I’ll tell you a little bit about
it. In this play a bad rich man would like to have all the money, so one of his bad men has to
go to the forest, and has to collect money from the poor. A little boy (his parents had to go to
the dungeon, because they couldn’t pay the money) runs to Robin Hood and tells him what
has happened to his parents. Robin Hood, his friends and the little boy have an idea, and in
the end the boy’s parents are free again and get their money back. The rich man is afraid of
the forest, and will never come back.
After the play everybody had the chance to drink something.
Then we had an oral exam presented by two girls. It was not a real exam of course. Last
year the last exam was an oral exam, and the two girls gave an example.
The next play is called “To Catch a Thief”; in that play some things have disappeared. Jo
thinks Lesley (she is new in Bristol) steals the things from 8PK. The SHoCK team sets a trap
to catch the thief. Jo is sure it is Lesley, but in reality the caretaker put the things in his bag
to give them to Mr Kingsley, 8PK’s form teacher. So Lesley isn’t the thief and Jo says sorry to
her. In that play two girls from our class gave a presentation about Australia because that is
something else we trained last year.
Next there was a book report. One girl presented an English book she had read with the
help of a box. We call it “A book in a box”. She put some things in the book which are important
for the story. Then she took them out and told us about the things and the book.
The last play is called “A Trip to Bath”. In that play form 8PK are on a class trip, and look
at Roman things. If you
are at LLG, you can read
the stories about the
SHoCK-team in your
English textbook for
year 6 on pages 88-90
and on pages 105-107.
Then 3 girls played a
quiz with some parents
and students – parents
against students. The
best thing was that the
students won.
