ECOPROFIT ® Micro
ÖKOPROFIT ® (ÖKOlogisches PROjekt Für Integrierte Umwelt-
Technik) Mikro ist ein, nach Vorbild des bereits existierenden
ÖKOPROFIT ® -Programms gestaltetes Umweltprogramm speziell
für Kleinstunternehmen. Dieses Programm wird aus Mitteln des
operationellen Programms Slowenien – Österreich 2007–2013
im Rahmen der europäischen, territorialen Zusammenarbeit unter
dem Titel „City Network Graz-Maribor“ gefördert.
Im Rahmen von ÖKOPROFIT ® Mikro wird Unternehmen mit bis
zu 20 MitarbeiterInnen die Möglichkeit geboten, wesentliche
Bereiche des betrieblichen Umweltschutzes mit geringem Zeitaufwand
im Rahmen
einer Workshopreihe
zu erarbeiten
und im Unternehmen
zu integrieren.

einem ökologischen Nutzen für die Umwelt verbunden.
Warum ÖKOPROFIT ® MIKRO
Rund 90 % der in Graz angesiedelten Unternehmen beschäftigen
weniger als 20 MitarbeiterInnen und gelten somit als Kleinbetriebe.
Da Klein- und Kleinstunternehmen andere Strukturen als
Großunternehmen aufweisen und es den Unternehmen aufgrund
ihrer begrenzten Personal-, und Zeitkapazitäten oft nicht möglich
ist, am umfangreichen ÖKOPROFIT ® -Programm teilzunehmen,
bietet ÖKOPROFIT ® Mikro ein – speziell auf die Bedürfnisse und
Strukturen derartiger Betriebe zugeschnittenes – Programm zur
Umsetzung des betrieblichen Umweltschutzes.
Die sich für die teilnehmenden Unternehmen ergebenden Vorteile
aus dem Programm sind vielfältig. Einerseits werden die
Betriebe ermutigt, durch den Einsatz bzw. die Erarbeitung innovativer,
integrierter Techniken den Verbrauch von Ressourcen zu
reduzieren und Abfälle sowie Emissionen einzusparen. Andererseits
gelingt es Betrieben gerade durch diese Maßnahmen,
Kosten zu minimieren. Durch die Vermittlung umweltrelevanter
Rechtsmaterien direkt durch die Behörde und die Überprüfung
bzw. Verbesserung der Legal Compliance der teilnehmenden Unternehmen
durch ÖKOPROFIT ® -Berater wird es den einzelnen
Betrieben ermöglicht, einen hohen Grad an Gesetzeskonformität
sowie Rechtssicherheit zu erlangen.

ECOPROFIT ® (ECOlogical PROject For Integrated Environmental
Technology) Micro is an environmental programme
that is designed following the model of the ECOPROFIT ® Programme
already existing and is specifically tailored to microcompanies.
This programme is subsidized with funds of the
operational programme Slovenia - Austria 2007-2013 within
European territorial cooperation under the title “City Network
Graz-Maribor”.

Why ECOPROFIT ® MICRO
About 90 % of the companies based in Graz have fewer than
20 employees and thus are regarded as being small companies.
Small companies and micro-companies have other
structures than large-scale companies, and often their personnel
and time capacities are too limited to enable them to
participate in the ECOPROFIT ® Programme. Therefore, ECO-
PROFIT ® Micro offers a programme for implementing internal
environmental protection that is specifically tailored to the
needs and structures of such companies.
There are many different advantages the programme yields
to the companies participating. On the one hand, the companies
will be encouraged to reduce resource consumption and
save waste and emissions by using or elaborating innovative
integrated technologies. On the other hand, it is just these
measures that will help the companies to save costs. As matters
of environmental law are directly imparted by the public
authority and legal compliance of the companies participating
is reviewed or improved by ECOPROFIT ® Consultants, the
companies can achieve a high degree of legal compliance
and legal certainty.
Neben diesen ökonomischen Aspekten erfüllt ÖKOPROFIT ®
durch die Einführung des Nachhaltigkeitsgedankens auch eine
zentrale ökologische Rolle und leistet somit einen Beitrag zu einer
„lebenswerteren Umwelt“ und einer nachhaltigen Entwicklung
der gesamten Region.
Besides these economic aspects, ECOPROFIT ® , which introduces
the idea of sustainability, also plays a central ecological
role and thus makes a contribution to creating an “environment
that is more worth living in” and a sustainable development
throughout the region.
