(Number) (U)<br />

This enclosure provides information on survey and meteorology operations.<br />

Requirements and methods of dissemination are addressed. Support<br />

requirements to other units/agencies; e.g., radar beacon teams, are identified.<br />

(U) REFERENCE:<br />

(U) TIME ZONE:<br />

1. (U) Situation. This paragraph consists of the units who will have an affect on<br />

the survey plan.<br />

● Threat. Intelligence and information on the threat that may affect survey<br />

operations (routes, weapons, etc.)<br />

● Friendly. The friendly (higher, lower, and adjacent units) situation as it<br />

affects survey and met operations.<br />

● Attachments and detachments. Units who can provide support to survey<br />

operations (security, maintenance, other survey teams).<br />

2. (U) Mission. This is a clear, concise statement of the task to be performed by<br />

the survey and met section. It should answer who, what, where, when, why.<br />

3. (U) Execution. This paragraph consists of several subparagraphs that answer<br />

the how.<br />

● Concept of operations. This subparagraph describes the survey and<br />

meteorological methods to be used.<br />

● Specific instruction to each party. These subparagraphs contain specific<br />

instructions each team requires to accomplish its portion of the mission.<br />

This information includes survey control to be used by the teams, general<br />

locations (six-digit grids) for required control, frequency and location of met<br />

reports, and information that deviates from SOPs. These instruction should<br />

be in concert with the EFATs.<br />

● Coordinating instructions. Information required by two or more parties.<br />
