Largely de-quilled Asiatic Brush-tailed Porcupine, Hin Namno<br />

Indian Giant Flying Squirrel, Xiangkhouang, 1992. This species is<br />

typical <strong>of</strong> forests below about 1000 m. It is highly variable in pelage<br />

across its wide world range; animals in <strong>Lao</strong> <strong>PDR</strong>, at least south <strong>of</strong><br />

20ºN, are <strong>of</strong> the race Petaurista philippensis annamensis. Also<br />

shown are four Red-cheeked Squirrels and one Inornate Squirrel.<br />
