Region<br />

1 species listed here are those formerly <strong>of</strong> conservation and management significance in <strong>Lao</strong> <strong>PDR</strong> (as defined in Salter 1993b). In addition,<br />

wild pigs, hares, several species <strong>of</strong> rats and squirrels, a variety <strong>of</strong> bird, reptile, frog, fish and invertebrate species were commonly<br />

observed for sale at fresh food markets.<br />

Xekong and Attapu.<br />
