You can use any of the following methods to update hardware keys
remotely:
Secure Update Wizard (available for Windows only)
Secure Update Utility
Secure Update API
Secure Update Wizard
The Secure Update Wizard provides a developer-branded graphical option to
customers for remotely activating features/applications. It is suitable for
activating licenses remotely under the following scenarios:
Converting a trial/demo application to a full version
Activating an inactive feature/application after installation
Adding a new license
You can brand the Secure Update Wizard with your custom graphics and
text while associating it with your CodeCover/API-protected applications.
The wizard collects product and publisher information to process a license
activation request. It allows you to choose how the product activation will
be presented to your customer, and defines the methods (file and/or e-mail)
your customer can use to activate the product.
When your customer runs the application, he/she will have the option of
clicking the Try or Buy button:
The Try button allows your customer to use the product for a
specified time limit or determined number of executions.
The Buy button prompts your customer for the necessary
information and completes the product activation.
