40 Sentinel Hardware Keys Developer’s Guide
Tip: The License Manager application resembles the License Manager screen of
the Toolkit. However, the functionality is limited to programming Sentinel
Keys. The License Manager Help included with the application describes the
steps for using it.
Sentinel Keys License Monitor
Sentinel Keys License Monitor is a Web-based management tool that provides
a user-friendly interface to Sentinel Keys Server. It is used for the
following:
To view details of the Sentinel Keys and clients accessing them. It is a
convenient way to view and track license activity and analyze
application usage. For example, your customer could use it to
determine whether or not enough licenses were purchased, based on
license demand.
To cancel the licenses issued to clients from a Sentinel Key. For details
on canceling a license, please refer to the Sentinel Keys System
Administrator Help.
To view and configure the start-up settings for the Sentinel Keys
Server, which are stored in the server-side configuration file
(sntlconfigsrvr.xml).
Sentinel Keys License Monitor provides critical information related to Sentinel
Keys Server, such as number of keys attached and licenses in use. Hence
its access is restricted to only a specific set of users in a network. Only an
authorized set of users, defined in the sntlconfigsrvr.xml, can access Sentinel
Keys License Monitor.
