under Anne and the Georges, that the difficulty in<br />

writing of its literary souvenirs is rather to exclude<br />

than to illustrate. Jimmy Thomson brings in the<br />

Palace as the climax of his enthusiastic rhapsody on<br />

the Thames: —<br />
