Other Hunting Gods<br />

Each region and culture has its own hunting god or goddess. The different cults are in effect separate<br />

religions though they all share similar beliefs and rituals. Odayla is but one <strong>of</strong> many such hunting gods.<br />

Each has its own secrets and special Divine Magic. Other hunting gods include:<br />

Durbadath: The lion-god <strong>of</strong> Pelanda and Carmania. He teaches Command spells for antelope, bison,<br />

deer, lions and wild cattle. His followers gain the powers <strong>of</strong> lion strength and claws and a fiery divine<br />

radiance.<br />

Orogeria: Worshipped by the women <strong>of</strong> Pelanda and Sylila. She teaches the Command spells for<br />

antelope, bears, deer, elk, wild cattle, wild sheep and trout. In addition, her hunters travel to the<br />

otherworld to hunt or evade prey.<br />

Kenstrata: Worshipped by the males <strong>of</strong> Pelanda they learn similar suite <strong>of</strong> spells. His secret magic<br />

allow his followers to track a specific animal flawlessly or to become one <strong>of</strong> his prey for a time.<br />

Velit Maniz: The invisible leopard hunts in the wilds <strong>of</strong> Teshnos. He provides Command spells for<br />

apes, deer, elephants, giant serpents and wild pigs. He grants his worshippers the ability to go unseen<br />

in the jungle and to hunt ghosts and spirits.<br />

Zong: The troll hunter is worshipped by trolls throughout Glorantha. He teaches Command spells for<br />

all rodents and herbivorous insects. His hunters can pursue game even in the Underworld.<br />

Requirements: Standard plus the candidate must win the<br />

Great Hunt.<br />

Special Note: Master Hunters also serve as the cult’s<br />

priesthood. They must devote 50% <strong>of</strong> their time and<br />

income to the cult.<br />

Special Benefits<br />

Initiates gain a +10% bonus to Bow, Stealth and Survival<br />

skills while in the wilderness. Runepriests can hibernate<br />

through the winter.<br />

Orlanth Adventurous<br />

Wanderer, thief and lusty troublemaker<br />

Orlanth is the King <strong>of</strong> the Gods, Master <strong>of</strong> Storms, Death<br />

Wielder and Bringer <strong>of</strong> Light. His worshippers know<br />

<strong>of</strong> several incarnations <strong>of</strong> Orlanth and when known as<br />

Orlanth Adventurous his skills as a poet, fighter and lover<br />

are legendary. Full <strong>of</strong> life and energy, the god lived by<br />

his wits and blade; loving goddesses and getting in and<br />

out <strong>of</strong> trouble. His contests with Emperor Yelm were<br />

renowned. Eventually, wrongs committed by him and<br />

others brought the Great Darkness and the Orlanth, now<br />

older and wiser, set <strong>of</strong>f on a desperate journey to bring<br />

back light and life to the world. Many others joined him<br />

in his quest. After great hardships, these Lightbringers<br />

travelled to the Underworld. There, he made peace with<br />

the slain Yelm, saving the world from destruction. Since<br />

then, Orlanth has ruled the world as King <strong>of</strong> the Gods.<br />

Orlanth’s worship is widespread throughout central and<br />

southern Genertela known as the ‘barbarian belt’. His
